Quote from Drawing in New Customers - A Challenge for Luxury Car Manufacturers :
Clearly, if luxury car manufacturers are going to survive, they are going to have to begin branching out and taking risks, as Porsche did.luxury cars company list, at luxury cars, most luxurious car brands, best priced luxury cars, luxury cars auto sales, high luxury cars, German luxury car brand, luxury car price comparison, luxury sedans, new luxury sedans
A good example of a company branching out is Porsche, who in 2003 launched a range of 4×4 SUVs designed to broaden their customer base. The move was widely criticised as being a total betrayal of the Porsche brand but has since proved to be very successful, spurring Porsche on to continue investing in, marketing and upgrading their SUV models. Although they still appeal to richer customers, it's a richer customer that is interested in something entirely different from Porsche`s other ranges.
However, with the multiple oil crises that begin occurring through the 90’s and 00′s, many manufacturers, particularly in Europe, started looking for alternatives to petrol and ensuring that their vehicles were more economical to run. America failed to follow the trend, resulting in massive problems for the country‵s auto–industry as the financial crisis of the late 00‵s drew in as well.
